We are looking for a team player who is hardworking and enthusiastic, have a hands-on approach and wish to develop a long-term career. You will work within the Customer Service, Administration and Warehouse/Assembly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain skills and achieve an industry recognised apprenticeship whilst earning a wage.

Working Week:

Working week: Monday – Thursday, 08:30 – 17:00 and Friday, 08:30 – 16:30.Total hours per week: 39.50

Duties will include various tasks in the office and also in the warehouse so this will be a hands-on role and you will be required to lift, carry and wear personal protective equipment such as boots, gloves and other necessary workwear.

General Administration and Customer Service Duties

  • Communicate to customers, contractors and staff in a professional manner
  • Making telephone calls as and when required
  • Answering the telephone in a polite and professional manner
  • Using Sage software for stock control
  • Dealing with customers regarding deliveries etc…
  • Following a daily job sheet, collect raw fitting components
  • Label pack and send out finished products
  • Log all calls/job schedules with a high level of accuracy from customers and contractors
  • Dealing with requests for information
  • Warehouse/Assembly
  • Packing of orders for carrier companies
  • Unloading wagons containing heavy and fragile goods
  • Booking stocking in and out
  • Assemble units for fitting, prepare and pass to wiring team
  • Book in deliveries using Sage stock control system
  • Comply with appropriate rules, regulations and processes for safely and efficiently moving, handling, packing and unpacking different items
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload items into and from vehicles, buildings, containers, lift vans, crates and/or boxes
  • Work effectively in a warehousing team, including when under pressure, and to agreed deadlines

As part of your contract of employment completion of the Apprenticeship Training Programme forms part of your duties as well as helping your personal and professional development; the requirements to complete the programme are as follows:

  • Attend and be punctual for all induction sessions
  • Attend and be punctual for all lessons with regards to your apprenticeship programme
  • Complete all required assignments with regards to your apprenticeship by the required timeline

This role could lead to other areas within the business e.g. wirer, stock controller, sales etc.

GCSEs at grades D/3 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English. We are also happy to consider someone who has the drive and passion to succeed. No experience needed but a good positive attitude to learn on the job is essential.
