What will the apprentice be doing?
- Working alongside our kitchen team but in your own working station
- Listening to our chefs to produce the correct dishes needed
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary work station
- Assisting in all aspects of Hygiene and Health and Safety, and working within company Food Safety guidelines
- Working in a team that focuses on food quality and strives to deliver the highest standard
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Chef De Partie Apprenticeship Standard, including Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required).
Training will be provided at Kirklees College one day per week (usually a Monday).
The end point assessment (EPA) is made up of a professional discussion, an observation in your workplace, completion of a set task and an online multiple-choice assessment.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Full time employment after successful completion of the apprenticeship, and the opportunity to work up the ranks in the kitchen.
Things to consider
Requires working in a fast-paced environment. Shifts to include evenings and weekends.
