Monday to Friday (Wednesday – study day) – 40 Hours – 9am – 5.30pm – Unpaid Lunch: 30 minutes

Positions

Job Purpose:

To work in the warehouse providing an excellent service to all departments and external customers and gaining knowledge on the stock and products and processes
Adding stock to shelves
Communicating with external customers eg Delivery Drivers etc
Sourcing products from the warehouse required for the manufacturing team
Checking in/out stock and entering this information accurately on to the system
Loading & unloading vans
Ordering stock as required
Delivering high levels of customer service in a friendly and professional way
Using product knowledge to support other departments’ requirements
Answering the telephone in the warehouse
Liaising with internal departments
General portage duties including moving boxes and general housekeeping
Taking reasonable care of your own and other people’s health, safety and welfare and reporting any situation which may pose a serious or imminent threat to the well-being of yourself or of any other person
To carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by management to ensure to smooth running of the organisation
Ensuring that the policies of the company are observed and that good practice is encouraged, particularly in the areas of Health & Safety,

The salary may be reviewed and increase in line with your performance and progression through your apprenticeship.

Somebody who is a good verbal communicator who has a polite, clear and professional telephone manner.
Must have a good level of literacy skills.
IT literate and have a good understanding of Microsoft Packages.
Required to work to deadlines, with good time management.
Good numeracy skills.
Ability to be organised and to meet targets set to complete the required work-based evidence, assignments and logging of all work completed towards completion of your apprenticeship programme – your employer will also support you with these requirements.
Confident in using email and the internet.
The successful candidate will be organised.
Willing to work effectively in the team.

Qualifications

Grade C/4 or above or Functional/Key Skills Level 2 in Maths and English is required An IT qualification would be an advantage
